The WWTG generally meets twice a year with one annual and one intersessional meeting. Non-member countries and industry organizations are encouraged to participate in the meetings as observers. National governments or members of the World Trade Organization interested in furthering WWTG goals are welcome.
Following the successful results of the last WWTG Annual Meeting that took place in Santiago, Chile, in 2019, we propose to continue the Group’s active work and collaboration, including on the exchange of wine-related relevant information, discussion of regulatory and strategic review issues and the definition of next steps for our countries’ enhanced cooperation to provide better market access to wine.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWTG meetings will take place virtually until further notice.
WWTG Intersessional Meeting
The previous WWTG Intersessional Meeting took place in the city of London, United Kingdom, on 11-12 April 2019. The meeting occurred at a significant moment for the Group, after its 20th Anniversary since its creation in 1998. It presented an important opportunity for WWTG industry and government representatives to continue working together with the aim to facilitate the international trade of wine, in line with the vision of the Group for a successful, competitive and growing global wine industry.

The last WWTG Annual Meeting took place from 21–23 October 2019 in Santiago, Chile. As part of the activities program, participants visited the Viña Santa Rita winery.
